Online Stores
Recent surveys highlight that SME ecommerce adoption continues to increase with current growth rates in excess of 100% per annum. Over 13% of UK small and medium sized businesses (SME’s) have firm plans to build new online stores and many more already have ecommerce sites they want to update.
Consumers are also increasingly turning to the internet for their shopping with 6% of all UK retail sales now made online (forecast to increase to 12% by 2009). As consumer confidence in online shopping continues to build and ecommerce software technologies become easier to use then more businesses will turn to the internet as a means to increase their sales.
